L.A. Noire - Review PS3

Best detective game we've played
L.A. Noire's not like most Rockstar's games,is different...
you're a cop.So that got my attention;.isn't important how good you are shooting with your pistol but instead is important  your ability to read a suspect's face and determine if he or she is telling the truth or holding something back.

Inspired by film noir classics ,this story of atroubled  and complicated cop in postwar Los Angeles makes the business of detective work rewarding and absorbing, it's so much more  authentic late -'40s style that you ever expected.L.A. Noire is using a  new technology called MotionScan, so every twitch ,wrinkle, downward glance, grimace, is from an actor playing a part, not an animator.

Well, this is a 40's iPAD
You play as Cole Phelps, WW2 veteran and you quickly advance to traffic detective, and as the story progresses, you move through homicide, vice, arson and in each department you  get a new partner. Cole is well-developed and interesting, played by actor Aaron Staton ( Mad Men) .L.A. Noire follows a simple pattern: investigate, interrogate, accuse.
Investigate:
walking around and picking up or looking through clues, the sounds will suggest proximity to a clue.
Interrogation:
Here things get interesting, you have to analyse facial responses and bodily tics and  if doubt them, press them for more information, or accuse them of lying by presenting contradicting evidence. When you question witnesses, you have to think less like a gamer and more like a detective. So after every question, selected from Cole's  notebook, you get a response from the suspect. Then you must choose to doubt, accuse them of lying, or believe.
L.A. Noire shares some features of Rockstar’s previous game, car chases, firefights, fist fights, and on-foot chases. L.A. Noire isn't all about interrogating people, is still an open-world game. You're free to tackle more action-oriented missions and explore faithfully recreated 1947 Los Angeles.

Closing Comments
The main story will last you 20 hours, and 40 street crimes you can respond to while driving around, and a number of collectibles in the city. The acting is simply superb, but the gameplay isn’t all that spectacular.L.A. Noire it’s something everyone must try out.
