Civil War...but only online

After i played the game for few hours im sure Brink is a game designed to be played online.

The game is designed as a multiplayer experience, with missions that pit live teams against each other, and a challenge mode that offers co-op gameplay for up to four people, and that is Brink‘s focus.

THE "STORY"

Hmm ..the"story". As a citizen of the Ark, will you fight to impose order on the floating city .Set aboard the Ark, Brink looks to tell the story of two factions: the Resistance and the Security; and their story of survival in and around the world’s last bastion of hope. Both sides of the escalating civil war are fully playable, where you’ll basically play different sides of the same scenarios, and there is the “story”.

GAMEPLAY

Brink's online integration means that with the exception of the four Challenge maps, so every match you play takes place on one of the eight maps from the campaign. And when you start up a match, you can determine what map you play, who can join your game ,which player ranks are allowed, and whether or not human players are allowed on the enemy team. Before you get into a match, however, you have the option to watch extensive tutorial videos that familiarize you with the busy battlefields of Brink... However is an unconventional game, allowing players to tackle the exact same scenarios alone, with co-op buddies or against every man and their dog, or so to speak. In attempting to merge the single-player, co-op and multiplayer into one neat package though, it only goes to serve two purposes. One, it reveals that it’s not even possible to do such a thing without one of them standing out like a sore thumb that’s been dipped in corrosive acid; and two, it just goes to show why multiplayer games are so successful -in short, the enemy AI is light years behind that of Elmer Fudd IQ.

You must also create a character using Brink's stylish customization suite. After choosing from an all-male gallery of quasi-realistic faces, you don either the trim, tough look of the Security forces, or the grimy, ragtag look of the Resistance. You can unlock a bunch of cool clothing, hairstyles, and face paint as you level up.
Brink is no more or no less complicated than any other class-based objective-based game. You’ve got 4 classes – soldier, medic, engineer and operative – each class has its perks and you have objectives to complete.
The lone aspect of character creation that actually affects how you play the game is your body type. Every character begins with a medium body and soon unlocks heavy and light types.
Heavy characters have the most health and can carry the biggest guns, but they are also the slowest . Light characters have the least health and can carry only small guns, but they are also the fastest and most nimble. They excel at running fluidly around the map and leaping to areas other players cannot reach and Medium characters are both nimble and durable, though not to the extent of the other types, and they function as a versatile blend of the other two.

Each class has its own set of custom perks that range from turrets and mines for the engineer; and more bang for the soldier; to self revival and adrenaline boosts for the medics, and disguises and cortex bombs for the operative. To get these perks, you simply have to level up with XP and for every level you advance, you get a token; then on every 5 levels, you go up a "rank," where you can purchase the next tier of gadgets to assist you.All characters can sprint, slide, and jump with varying proficiency, and this mobility helps make combat more lively. Slide into an enemy, and you knock him on his back, resulting in a close-quarters firefight that is a neat hybrid of melee combat and gunplay.

Further to the character customisation, if you work through the game’s ‘Challenges’ – short, confined scenarios that are meant to refine your skills in some of the aspects of the game – that involve escorting a bot and parkour, amongst others, you can unlock a variety of weapon customisation unlocks. Some of the unlocks are pretty cool – like the underslung grenade launcher – but in all, they don’t really change the guns that much, apart from making them look ultra badass.

Summary:
So Brink doesn't make it easy to have a satisfying experience.
